BIG DAWGS
Big Dawgs by Hanumankind ft. Kalmi was an international sensation, with a music video beyond reproach. When our client Anuneeet came to us, this was just a simple dance cover, but over 6 months of planning, this became an end-to-end, cinematic, heavy production, music video project. We were ecstatic to get on the set, with well-planned locations to bring out the original song’s impact, and a fresh storyline with classic elements that align to lyrics (e.g., barber, thugs, money exchanges). This was a 12 hour shoot day, incorporating a location 2 hours away to expand the scope of what could be achieved, reaching a Battery Armament with a classic look/feel that cannot be found in modern-day NYC.
In post-production, we relit an entire scene from day-time to night-time to bring a darker feel as requested by the client, incorporated various VFX (animated fire, transitions, etc.), and color graded various intensely filmed action scenes, with enhanced sound design to bring out the motion a level further. All-in-all, Big Dawgs was an exceptional project, bringing together many people from various parts of the creative community (e.g., dancers from Aluminati Dance, production and wardrobe from Kaho, production items from a known wedding planning business).
